What is Disneybound and how can you make it happen?

 

Ever got dressed to go somewhere and realized later you were matching a famous character or someone from a movie ?

Well that's exactly what the Disneybound is about! 

But let me get a bit more detailed here!

Disneybounding is a creative fashion trend where fans wear outfits inspired by Disney characters without directly dressing in costumes.(Yep passed 14 years old, the Disney parks won't let you wear any costumes to avoid confusion between the real deal and you, however you will be allowed to come with a costume on the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party!)

It involves incorporating colors, patterns, and accessories that evoke the essence of a character while remaining casual and stylish, allowing fans to express their love for Disney in everyday attire, often while visiting Disney parks or events.

Now that this is said, you will ask me... "Ok but how do I start?"

Here are some tips. :

Start by choosing a Disney character you want to represent. (Let's say Daisy) 

Analyze their color palette and key elements of their outfit, such as iconic accessories or patterns. (For our case we will say the purple, pink and blue) Select clothing items that reflect these colors and themes, focusing on stylish, everyday wear like dresses, skirts, or jeans.(How about some pink sneakers, a white skirt and a purple shirt?!)

Accessorize thoughtfully with items like hats, bags, or jewelry (Blue bracelet & pink bow) that evoke the character’s essence. 

Finally, consider the overall vibe and aim for a cohesive look while keeping it comfortable and personal. Don’t forget to have fun and let your creativity shine!

You can create a Disneybound outfit using items from your existing wardrobe, thrift stores, or budget-friendly retailers, which keeps costs low. Conversely, if you opt for high-end fashion pieces or specialized accessories to achieve a specific look, it can become more expensive. Ultimately, it’s possible to Disneybound affordably by prioritizing creativity and resourcefulness over luxury.
